Week 8: Creative Content Final Project

Image is everything when we talk about “Deficit Beer”. That's why the look and feel of the product has to say a lot when you glance at it. Remember this has to appeal to the type of individual that thinks differently and always is willing to try something new and exciting. That's why I think that the ads for this beverage will always consist of always the younger attractive group of friends engaged in some activity that is risk taking. Or the ads will consist of the same type of friends hanging out say after a long day of extreme sports or a night out on the town performing in a “Flash Mob” prank and then enjoying the refreshing quality that the product brings them (they will be filling the void). This imagery is meant to entice the viewer in to longing after that life-style even if they are the not that type of person. But when they purchase and drink “Deficit Beer” they will feel like they are that type of individual. This one form of advertisements will be done in a wide range of media from video, print, and web. As for the Bottle and the label, the bottle will be made of glass and will be longer than other beer bottles. It’s long shape is meant to represent the “void” or “deficit” and to grab an eye. It will also be made of clear glass so that it might catch the light as the the person holding it talks with an animated action to their friends about the their many adventures. The label will have a image of a “stock” plummeting downward off of the label and will consist of bright colors like red, yellow and orange.

Week 7 EOC: The Pitch

Deficit Beer “It’s the only beer that’s ok to enjoy in the morning! “

It has been said that there are some places in the world that it is ok to drink an alcoholic beverage before noon. Those places are few and far between. And here in the US it is considered bad form to enjoy such a drink that early. But not anymore! Deficit is actually the beer that fills the need or void you have after a long night on the town with the crew. Instead of going for that “Bloody Mary” that was not mixed right and will soon give you heart-burn later on, order a Deficit for that always consistently, smooth and unfiltered flavor that combines hints of spiced wheat, citrus, coriander and a malty finish. These elements are carefully combined with the intentions of pairing it with your favorite hearty and yet comforting breakfast food, like steak, eggs and hash-browns.If breakfast is the most important meal of the day then the beverage that accompanies that feast should also be equally as important.

This beer is not for the average beer drinker, yet it is for the type that is into staying out all night and seeing things from a new perspective. The type of person that is always looking for that new adventure or that one night stand The type of individual that goes against the grain of society and is not afraid to challenge the old way of thinking. The traditional ways of doing and thinking seem to be ineffective to you as a progressive person and Deficit Beer is your beer. “Fill the Void with Deficit Beer!”

Week 6 EOC: Me times Three

In the morning and evening there are few things in my bathroom that I am delighted by and that I look forward to using. As I think of each and every task that needs to be done in order for me to take on the outside world, there are only a few that are at the top of my list. Each of these products are not only luxury in my humble opinion but a necessity. If I forget to use only one of these gems before leaving the house for school or work my whole day can be ruined. “A product’s position is the way the product is defined by consumers on important attributes—the place the product occupies in consumers’ minds relative to competing products.”(Armstrong/Kotler)(http://digitalbookshelf.artinstitutes.edu/#/books/9780558851903/pages/16446653) Before the invention of these three men’s grooming essentials I don’t know how anyone got by. The first product on the top of my list is “Prevacid 24 Hr.”. This anti-acid is a must for eliminating that acid reflux that can sneak up on me in the later part of the day. I have tried many other variations of this product and some of which are not very good. They might kick in with in a few hours but they just don’t last like “Prevacid 24 Hr.” “Prevacid” is one that is orderless, tasteless but effective when it comes to making me a happy camper.”To build profitable relationships with target customers, marketers must understand customer needs better than competitors do and deliver more customer value.”(Armstrong/Kotler)(http://digitalbookshelf.artinstitutes.edu/#/books/9780558851903/pages/16446655) Another is “Banana Republic” cologne, I think this fantastic smelling fragrance is crisp, fresh, but yet handsome in its aroma. I love applying this one before I go out on the town I have always received a good reaction from the ladies when I sport this one. Last but definitely not least is my “Gillette Edge” moisturizing shaving gel. The smell of this shaving gel smells like “Andes” mint chocolate. It reminds me of when I use to go to my grandmother’s and she would give all of us grand kids these chocolate candies if we where only good and behaved.

Week 5 EOC: Health Care Reform

When it comes to people and their health it is no laughing matter. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is something we have all heard and know something about as Americans. The word life comes first in that line and we are responsible for our own lives, not government. Besides when the government gets involved, with what private industry can provide in a competitive way, it retards the processes. And when we are talking about people’s lives time is not a luxury we have. When private health insurance companies compete the price of one’s insurance will go down. According to the U.S Census Bureau 201,690 people were covered by private health insurance during the year 2006.
Then there comes the issue of what people fall outside of that group that actually have the need of government health care. Out of the 36,035 total in this document that fall over the age of 65 33,982 are already covered by Medicare or some type government health care. So they there is not really a demand socialized medicine. Less than a third of Males in general fall under the need of such services from the government. And in that same group 120,158 out of 145,689 are covered by some type of health insurance like private health insurance. Actually they are probably less likely to use those insurance policies that they do have. In married-couple families, women were covered mostly by their husbands totaling 187,788 and that rules them out. But the list goes on and on.
